The 2025 Shared Kitchen Operator Survey is now open, and I’m personally asking you to take just 30 minutes to share your experience.
Who should take this survey?
-
If you currently operate a shared-use kitchen, incubator, or community kitchen
-
If you plan to open a shared-use kitchen within the next calendar year
This is our 5th survey, and this year, we’re doubling down on the theme of shared kitchens as economic and social powerhouses. Across the country, communities are recognizing the role kitchens like yours play in job creation, food access, and entrepreneurship. This data will shape business strategies, policy decisions, and funding opportunities for years to come.
New This Year – A Survey for Your Food Businesses!
In addition to the Operator Survey, we’ve launched a survey for food businesses that operate in shared kitchens to help us measure the downstream impact of these kitchens. This 10-minute survey is anonymous, except for requesting city and state, and will help us capture the true economic value shared kitchens bring to local communities.
Please take a moment to share this link with your members—their participation will strengthen the industry’s ability to advocate for resources, funding, and policy support.
Let’s Hit 300 Responses!
Last year, 200 shared kitchen operators participated in the survey. This year, we’re aiming for 300. More responses mean stronger data and more powerful insights for all of us.
How You Can Help Today:
- Block off your calendar for 30 minutes, grab a cup of coffee, and complete the Operator Survey
- Share the Food Business Survey with your members and encourage them to fill it out.
As we’ve done in the past, anyone who fully completes the survey will receive the full summary results directly in their inbox. Plus, we’ll use these insights to build our highly-anticipated “State of the Industry” session at the 2025 Shared Kitchen Summit in Cleveland this November.
Our industry is at a turning point. This is your chance to contribute and ensure shared kitchens remain at the forefront of food entrepreneurship. Please take the survey today—and encourage others to do the same.
With appreciation,
Ashley Colpaart
